Warner Bros Pictures has picked up the distribution rights of animated feature film Ramayana-The Epic which is slated for release during Dussehra on October 15, in three versions — Hindi, Tamil and Telugu — simultaneously across India. Its a Maya Digital Media production film, directed by debutant Chetan Desai , film stars Manoj Bajpayee, Juhi Chawla, and Ashutosh Rana who lend their voices to the lead characters of Ram, Sita and Ravan, respectively.
A number of Indian animated films — Sultan, Toonpur ka Superhero, Kuchi Kuchi Hota Hai, Delhi Safari, Arjun, Alpha and Omega and EKEH 2.0 — are slated to release in 2010.
