Zapak Games got the distribute right for F1 2010 title in India

Codemasters an Zapak Games has announced a new generation of Formula One games which come to high definition consoles and PC for Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system and PC Games For Windows. Zapak Games, the licensing and merchandising arm of Zapak Digital Entertainment, will distribute the title in India.

Formula One World Championship is the official game of the 2010 FIA , which will include all of the official teams, drivers and circuits. F1 2010 will feature the return of seven times Formula 1 Drivers’ World Champion Michael Schumacher, the introduction of several new teams, and the brand new Korean International Circuit that will host the 2010 Formula 1 Korean Grand Prix.

The launch will see F1 2010 become the first official Formula One game to appear for Xbox 360 and marks the return of Formula One to PC after an eight year absence. The arrival of the HD editions of Formula One follows Codemasters’ launch of F1 2009 for Wii and PSP.

F1 2010 will also feature an advanced damage model, a weather system and competitive multiplayer options. F1 2010 has been developed using the Ego Game Technology Platform, Codemasters’ proprietary tech that powered the critically acclaimed, million-plus selling Colin McRae: DiRT 2 and Race Driver: GRID. The award-winning technology has been further developed to accurately recreate the unique aerodynamics and handling of 200MPH+ Formula One cars.

Another trivia: It’s the first time that the U2 front man has appeared in an ad without his band, and the first time a label other than Vuitton is getting a fashion credit.

Trivia Post: A Bar INSIDE a Tree

Some people are willing to go anywhere to get a drink, even within a tree. This bar in the trunk of a Baobab tree is filled with people traveling long distances as long as a drink. But that is so unique that tree?

A bar inside the trunk of a Baobab tree has tourists flocking from far and wide just to drink a cold brew in the amazing tavern. It was fashioned inside a massive 72 foot (22 meters) high tree in a garden in Limpopo, South Africa, for thirsty locals. The trunk is hollow, but its walls are still up to 6.5 feet (2 meters) thick. The tree has its own cellar, with natural ventilation to keep the beer cold.

Carbon-dating has determined the ancient tree to be about 6,000 years old. “This tree is likely to be older than the Giza Pyramids of Egypt.” said Heather van Heerden, owner of Sunland Farm. She and her husband Doug came up with the brainchild to set a bar up inside when they found a natural hollow in the Baobabb shortly after they bought the farm in the late 1980′s.

Do Schools get their money ?

Accountability Initiative (AI) is a research initiative that strives to track and disseminate information on existing levels of accountability in various government programs. PAISA (Planning, Allocations and Expenditures, Institutions: Studies in Accountability) is AI’s flagship initiative to this end.

India’s financial investment to provide basic public services – education, health, drinking water – has increased substantially. However state capacity to deliver these services has not been strengthen adequately and absenteeism, inefficiency and corruption continue to weaken the delivery system. Systematic failures of accountability lie at the heart of the problem.

Accountability initiative is a research initiative that works to promote accountability for service delivery by developing innovative models for tracking government programs, disseminating this information to policy makers as well as citizens, and undertaking research on how to strengthen accountability for improved service delivery in India

.

To kick-off this project, PAISA team had conducted an extensive survey at the school level in an endeavor to track the flow of funds from the central governments through the governance chain all the way to the schools in the Indian government’s school education program Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA).

Reckitt sues 'copycat' Bharti

Reckitt Benckiser India, the maker of Dettol antiseptic soap and Cherry Blossom shoe polish, has served a legal notice to Bharti Walmart demanding that the cash-and-carry joint company withdraw its Great Value toilet cleaner, as it infringes upon the ‘bottle design and cap’ of Reckitt’s Harpic brand, the domestic market leader in this category.
