An industry source says, "Apparently, Amitabh Bachchan is starting a news channel called India 24/7 and the preparations for starting it, is on in full swing. It is being planned in collaboration with a big corporate house. Of course, right now nobody wants to confirm anything and everything is hush-hush."
The source continues, "The idea for Amitabh Bachchan launching a new channel came while he was shooting for Ram Gopal Varma's Rann. Bachchan plays Harshvardhan Malik, the owner of a TV channel in the film. When Ramu and Bachchan were discussing the script in the initial stages, it was Bachchan's idea that Ramu name his channel, India 24/7. Now the channel which Bachchan is apparently planning to launch is also called India 24/7. That can hardly be a co-incidence."

How does one respond to such stupidity. The editor of a large film magazine calls, all from my fraternity, as being schmucks !! But most of her editorial smirks of nothing else but the unethical culture of stars, their attitudes, language and behavior. Why do so when you consider them to be all in the horrid word you wrote to describe situation earlier on !!

No Luck-Now for Munna bhai

Yesterday one of my friend who work with a news channel, told that Munna bhai is likely to get a good news ( as she felt, while sitting in her office and analysing news) , I felt very sad on the behalf of another man. Now this man is a real champ, he quit his Job at IIT (where he was a professor) to start Asha, which is into ‘socioeconomic change in India through education’ . His name is Sandeep Pandey; he is also the youngest Indian to have won Ramon Magasasay award -- the Asian equivalent of the Nobel Prize. He was also involved in the RTI movement, and as an aware citizen of Lucknow , he had also filed a PIL in the Supreme Court urging it to cancel Munna bhai 's plea to contest the elections.
Now it’s a celebration time for him and other citizen of Lucknow (me included), that we have rejected a tainted candidate. Anyway I never understood the logic of SP in lucknow, they have always went for so-called crowd pulling candidates.
