Aam aadmi ke badhte kadam, har kadam pe Bharat buland..Jai ho

Congress has come out with three 60-second films that seek to show the party leading its multitudes to progress. From its 2004 slogan of ‘Congress ka haath, aam aadmi ke saath,’ the party has moved on to ‘Aam aadmi ke badte kadam; har kadam par bharat buland.’ Loosely translated, it would mean the common man marches ahead and every step he takes makes India stronger.

With 'Jai Ho' music these video also shows the mandatory pictures of happy children, prosperous farmers and communal harmony etc etc, to showcase the India Shinning (ohh sorry India’s growth story).
Song is penned by famous hindi poet Ashok Chakradhar and sung by Balram.

Pakistan diyaan mauja hee mauja

Read the following line from Ustad Daman to best describe the present situation in Pakistan (ironically it was written way back )

Pakistan diyaan mauja hee mauja
chaarey passay faujaan hee faujan.
Jidhar veykho sirgat paan
zindabad meyra Pakistan
Jidhar veykho kulchey naan
zindabad meyra Pakistan!

(Pakistan is great joy and more joys,
wherever you look there are army and more army.
Wherever you look its shops selling cigarettes and paan
Long live Pakistan!
Wherever you look its shops selling kulchey naan (Punjabi fast food)
Long live my Pakistan!)
After reciting the lines at a public mushaira (Poet Meet) in Lahore, he was handcuffed and locked in jail.

PS: His real name was Chiragh Deen. Daman was his takhallus (poetic pseudonym). He was the most celebrated Punjabi poet at the time of the Partition of India in 1947. He refused to accept the division of the country on the basis of religious differences into a Muslim Pakistan and a predominantly non-Muslim India. He was a Sufi mystic who spoke his mind without fear of consequences.
