The manufacturer Ty Inc. claims that their name choices of "Sweet Sasha" (left)and "Marvelous Malia" were totally random and not at all related to anyone.

  1. I think Ty Inc. knew exactly what they were doing. I think they took advantage of the oppotunity in using the First Black Young Tweens in thr WHITE HOUSE.

  3. It is so sad and unfortunate that the beanie baby company has decided to stoop so low. The recession seems to be hitting everyone. First of all honesty is the best policy. They may have been able to sell a doll or two if they would tell the truth about where they got the dolls names from, after all these dolls didnt roll out for sale until the 2oth of January when sasha and malia's dad Barack Obama was innaugurated as the first Black President of the United States. These names were not random and Ty company should be ashamed of themselves for being so low down and dirty. What are the significance of these names if not because of who they really are. First of all, any one with common sense knows where the names were derived, thinking they were going to make a profit in disquise. Sick minded company,.,.,., And futhermore if it were not them why would anybody have a reason to buy them, they have no reason otherwise. But the fact of the matter is that they are the real Malia and Sasha Obama, at least that what Ty thought when they were making them. So the next time you make a doll, like Lil Waynes son or something, tell the truth. See , just do this. Yes, its Lil Wayne the rapper.
