He debuted in July 1980 and was created by Sherry Nemmers. The motto "Take a Bite out of Crime" was invented by John M. Keil , who also did this mascot’s voice for many years.
After two years on the air, a nationwide contest was opened to name the character. The most common entry was "Sherlock Bones". Other entries included "J. Edgar Dog", "Sarg-dog", and "Keystone Kop Dog". The winning name was submitted by a New Orleans police officer.

Reliance Big Bazar
Recently ADAG tried to register “Reliance Big Bazar” with the Indian trademark authority. Logic behind this brand name is “BIG” umbrella brand which ADAG is using for their Entertainment business, like Big FM, Big TV and Big music. The application says it claims “no right” to “exclusive use of word ‘Big Bazar’”, which means the company will only use the name as Reliance Big Bazar, according to the document filed. So it’s Biyani vs.’other’ Ambani now.

IPL bats its way into business school syllabi-- TOI
Now we can hope that our young B-Scholl grad will actively participate in the class of IPL. The trivia part is that it was one of such course at Duke University from where ‘the most influential man' in present day cricket got the idea of ‘starting IPL”. So we may see few more sporting leagues, apart from the present ones - PHL, ileague and the recent Indian tennis league (ITL), resulting out from these courses...... well more is less…..
