FIFA World Cup, Brazil 2014: FIFA bans caxirolas

South African World Cup 2010 was marked by noisy environment and in that, the vuvuzelas played a major role. In fact, at the time, many including players and coaches, complained about how annoying the noise generated by these tools.

Players hold bloody hearts in new World Cup ad for Adidas

Adidas sparked controversy over an ad campaign for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil which sees stars as the Spanish Diego Costa and Brazilian Dani Alves.

Adidas have filmed a host of football's top stars holding a bloody cow's heart in the advert alongside the slogan: 'During the World Cup, I will give my heart to the cause.'

Adidas have been criticised by animal rights groups following the release of a new advert promoting the World Cup.
