QuiZ for Knowledge not for Name fame and Honey Money!!

I started quizzing in year 2006, had a very bad start in a highly competitive and talented place called, pune. It was always tough for me to remain focused, but some how I did managed it, reason was simple, I was eager to know more about things around me. Hence, I kept on visiting(when u do not win, this is the best u can say) institutes after institutes, to be part of once event called 'QuiZ'. Now, I am telling you all this, well this was struck on my mind the moment I read a nice email interview of Giri, done by Praneeth, For me the best line was "Use quizzing as a tool to help yourself know more. Never read to win shows, read to gain knowledge. Once you start enjoying the process of knowing things you start doing well in life and in quiz shows as well."

Yahoo! launches contest in search of eco-friendly ideas

Yahoo! Launched a micro-site "green" in conjunction with an interactive campaign called Make it green. The site invites users to upload their ideas for making more sustainable life, as well as other ideas that can afford to do projects in eco-friendly home.
We’re searching for the best new green products and do-it-yourself projects so we can turn them into real products. What’s in it for you? A chance to star on the PBS TV show Everyday Edisons, a check for $2500, and the glory of knowing that your little planet-saving idea is lining the shelves of stores. Not particularly inventive? That’s ok — just go give a thumbs up to whatever idea you like best. You’ve got until June 30th.

Selling new soap in old bottles

New Soap is an enterprise in the United States that recycles plastic bottles of soft drinks and water companies to put them in cleaning products. The idea is owned by the artist and designer Scott Amron. Here's the backstory:

We sell brand name liquid soap packaged in old plastic soda bottles, plastic water bottles and glass beer bottles to help clean up our environments. Each bottle is cleaned, sanitized and processed for reuse as packaging for your favorite brand of liquid soap. Big companies aren't going to do this on their own. So we'll do it for them. We buy name brand liquid soap by the barrel and package it in old bottles here in America.

:) OOGLY GOOGLY ;)

Oogly googly!!!!!
One day, while in a hurry to search some plug-ins for eclipse.... i typed in the link oogle.com instead of google.com and was quite surprised as well as attracted by the catchy line “Because of the economy g has been dropped”!!! The rest of the look was entirely similar to that of Google.com..
First instinct was that wo!!! what is google up to but then one of my friends showed me the copyright mark which stated this website had nothing to do with google... then I just searched about this site and found the following written in a blog...
“Oogle.com is a search engine. It is like google.com, but uses ask.com to
answer or search for whatever you type into it's search bar. For example;
If I were to type Cat in the search bar, and hit enter, near the top left
corner of the page, there is the logo for Ask.com, and the word Cat is in
the Ask search bar. It basically turns into Ask.com.” .
Oogle is just one letter short of google. Happy mistyping and oogling.....
All thanx to confused Public, Oogle.com is a top 10,000 site that reaches over 287K U.S. monthly people, and is ranked at 5612 (as per www.quantcast.com).
