Wikipedia is seeking World Heritage Site status

Wikipedia, the online encyclopaedia that can be edited by anybody, has launched a campaign to be listed as a World Heritage Site as part of its 10th birthday celebrations. 

If successful, Wikipedia would become the first digital entry on a prestigious UNESCO roster of international cultural and natural wonders that includes Giant's Causeway, Stonehenge and Westminster Abbey.
